Natural Home Remedies and Body Care
Floramedica

Natural Remedies course starts at Leith Academy, Edinburgh on Wed 5 May 2010, running from 7 till 9 pm for 6 weeks (finishes 9 June). Learn how to use plants for safe, sustainable home health care and body care products.

Until recently, ordinary people knew how to tackle common ailments at home using wild and cultivated plants and simple items from the kitchen cupboard. With this course we reclaim some of the knowledge that has been lost over the years, (re)learning ways to look after ourselves and our families that make sense and don't cost the earth.

Classes will explore useful traditions of plant medicine and self-care from Scotland and around the world through a variety of activities. These will include themed talks, walks, and plenty of opportunities to have a go at making simple, safe home remedies that really work.

Bookings open from 15 March if you are already a student at Leith Academy, or 29 March otherwise. For details of costs and booking information, view/download poster here http://www.ethicalvoiceforanimals.org.uk/downloads/livmedflyer.doc  or see http://www.leith.edin.sch.uk
